Infrastructure Engineer – Platform
Our client, a growing AI-driven startup focused on improving brain health, is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in New York. The successful candidate will help build and scale the organization’s real-time neural monitoring platform, tackling challenging problems in high-throughput streaming, real-time analytics and clinical-grade reliability.
Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain real-time streaming infrastructure to handle high-throughput neural data.

Own and manage the analytical data layer, including schema design, ingestion pipelines and data lifecycle processes.

Implement and oversee observability systems to ensure the platform is reliable and performant.

Operate and enhance our Kubernetes-based deployment infrastructure for scalable, resilient operations.
Skillset
-
At least 5 years in infrastructure engineering, with a track record of building and maintaining high-performance systems.

Strong background in stream processing or event-driven architectures, with experience in sub-second latency systems.

Proficiency with tools like Docker and Kubernetes for scalable deployments.

Skilled in operating and maintaining databases, as well as designing analytical pipelines.

Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with data engineering and warehousing at scale is a plus.

Expertise with infrastructure as code is a bonus.
