Forward Deployed Engineer

Our client, a growing company working within freight data, is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to join their team remotely. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with customers to shape the product in real-world settings, tackle integration challenges head-on, ensure data accuracy, and translate insights directly into their platform and roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical side of onboarding and pilots, ensuring integrations are seamless, reliable, and accurate.

• Design, test and optimize ingestion pipelines, mappings, and webhooks, while identifying edge cases and provider-specific quirks.

• Translate real-world insights into product impact, highlighting patterns from the field to guide roadmap and strategy decisions.

• Partner with telematics providers to enhance APIs, sandboxes, and documentation for both internal teams and customers.

Skillset

• At least 2 years of experience in software engineering

• Exposure to solution engineering or data operations.

• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.

• Hands-on experience with structured data (JSON, SQL, CSV) and APIs/webhooks.

• Skilled at navigating complex, real-world systems.

• Excellent communicator across technical and non-technical teams.

• Thrives managing multiple integrations in a remote-first environment.

• Experience in logistics, freight, or telematics is a bonus.
