Our client, a leading transportation business in Ireland, are hiring a Cyber Security Consultant to join their team in Dublin on a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing cyber risk frameworks, assessing risks across both IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments and strengthening cyber governance throughout the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance the organisation’s cyber risk management framework, including policies, standards and procedures.

  • Conduct cyber risk assessments across both IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments, identifying key threats, vulnerabilities and business impacts.

  • Recommend and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies to strengthen organisational resilience.

  • Ensure alignment with recognised cyber security standards and regulatory frameworks, including ISO 27001, IEC 62443 and NIS2.

  • Lead and support NIS2 compliance initiatives, with a focus on governance, risk management and reporting obligations.

  • Assess the effectiveness of existing security controls and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Facilitate cyber risk workshops and engage with business and technical stakeholders to identify, assess and manage cyber risks.

  • Develop, maintain and report on cyber risk registers, treatment plans and governance metrics.

  • Provide strategic advice on embedding cyber risk management into enterprise risk management and organisational decision-making processes.

Skillset

  • Proven experience delivering cyber risk management programmes within large or complex enterprise environments.

  • Strong knowledge of cyber security governance, risk management principles and security control frameworks.

  • Demonstrable experience conducting cyber risk assessments across both IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments.

  • Experience implementing or aligning organisations with recognised standards and regulatory frameworks, including ISO 27001, IEC 62443 and NIS2.

  • Solid understanding of enterprise risk management, cyber governance and regulatory compliance.

  • Experience developing cyber security policies, standards, procedures, risk registers and governance documentation.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with experience facilitating workshops and collaborating across technical and business teams.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, high-quality reports, governance documentation.
