Our client, a growing tech consultancy, are hiring an experienced ServiceNow Developer to join the team in Virginia. The successful candidate will help enhance and maintain a large-scale ServiceNow environment for a federal customer, supporting major platform upgrades and new implementations across a complex, multi-module instance.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, configure and customize ServiceNow applications and core platform capabilities.

  • Create workflows, UI policies, business rules, client scripts, catalog items and other platform components.

  • Assist with platform upgrades, including testing, issue remediation, troubleshooting and post-upgrade validation.

  • Develop and maintain integrations using IntegrationHub, REST, SOAP and other integration technologies.

  • Write clean, scalable and maintainable JavaScript in accordance with established development standards.

  • Partner with developers, architects and stakeholders to convert business requirements into effective technical solutions.

  • Deliver solutions that comply with federal security, governance and regulatory requirements.

  • Investigate and resolve application defects, performance issues and production support requests.

  • Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, knowledge sharing and continuous platform improvement.

Skillset

  • Active Top Secret security clearance is essential.

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.

  • CompTIA Security+ or ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification would be a bonus.

  • Hands-on experience developing and configuring ServiceNow applications in a production environment.

  • Strong experience working with large-scale, complex ServiceNow instances.

  • Proficiency in JavaScript, ServiceNow scripting and core platform capabilities.

  • Experience with one or more ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, SecOps, CSM or custom applications.

  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow development standards, security principles and platform best practices.

  • Experience supporting federal government or Department of Defense customers, with knowledge of relevant security, compliance and audit requirements.
