AI in Action, Podcast | October 25 2021 | JP Valentine
Welcome to episode 274 of the AI in Action podcast, the show where we break down the hype and explore the impact that Data Science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence are making on our everyday lives.
Powered by Alldus International, our goal is to share with you the insights of technologists and data science enthusiasts to showcase the excellent work that is being done within AI in the United States and Europe.
Today’s guest is Mark DePristo, Founder & CEO at BigHat Biosciences in San Francisco, CA. Founded in 2019, BigHat’s mission is to improve human health by making it far easier to design advanced, next-generation antibody therapeutics. Mark brings a wealth of experience to the company having previously founded and led the Genomics team in Google Brain and holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge.
BigHat Biosciences’ AI-enabled experimental platform integrates a high-speed characterization or “wet” lab with machine learning technologies to speed the antibody engineering process. When applied, these design capabilities have the potential to drive the development of new generations of safer and more effective treatments for patients suffering from today’s most challenging diseases.
In the episode, Mark will chat about:
