Today’s guests are Nick Hobbs, Senior Data Scientist & Wilson Lee, Senior ML Research Scientist at The Trevor Project. Founded in 1998, The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ young people. The organization works to save young lives by providing support through free and confidential suicide prevention and crisis intervention programs on platforms where young people spend their time: their 24/7 phone lifeline, chat, text and soon-to-come integrations with social media platforms.

Nick is a published Senior Data Scientist with over five years of Machine Learning Experience using Natural Language Processing to Help Save LGBTQ Lives at The Trevor Project. Wilson has over seven years of experience in research and industry and turns cutting-edge research in natural language processing into fully productionised machine learning systems. He was the technical lead on the Crisis Contact Simulator, which won Time Magazine’s 2021 Best Innovation for Social Good award and Fast Company’s 2021 Innovation by Design for Social Good award.
