Today’s guest is Tom Watson, President and CEO, Founder at AMI in Seattle, WA. Founded in 2003, AMI is a team of curious, brave, honest, hardworking people who make rock star ninja warrior heroes of asset managers. AssetTrack has led the industry as the most innovative hardware asset management product since they started the company nearly 20 years ago. What started as a simple scanning solution has grown into a management system that addresses every aspect of hardware asset management.

An experienced ITAM expert, Tom’s aim was to help companies accurately track their IT hardware in real-time, all the time. Tom and his team developed AssetTrack software and made sure it worked better than anything else available. It was his goal was to create software that’s easy to use in the field, adaptable to the needs of a global enterprise and delivers accurate data that can be trusted. Expert consulting delivered with care is why companies like United Airlines, Nike, Lockheed Martin, Kaiser Permanente trust AMI as their asset management partner.

In this episode, Tom talks about:

How he got into the world of ServiceNow

Balancing complex asset tracking with technician efficiency

Executive focus in Hardware assets, transactions and data trust

How they re-platformed into ServiceNow for better integration & data security

The future of Hardware asset management
