Position: Cybersecurity Architect (Contract)
Location: Dublin; 3 / 4 days per week onsite
Contract Duration: 12 months initial
Start Date: ASAP

Our client, a global consulting firm, is hiring an experienced Cybersecurity Architect for a contract position  in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible to help design, build, test, and implement robust security systems within their business networks. This role requires at least 5 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, a deep understanding of network security technologies, and the ability to develop comprehensive security architectures tailored to business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, recommend and implement effective security solutions to protect client systems, data and information infrastructure.

  • Design and develop comprehensive security architectures that integrate hardware, software and network security components.

  • Develop and manage incident response protocols, systems, and teams to efficiently handle any security breaches or threats.

  • Ensure client systems comply with all relevant industry regulations and standards (e.g. NIS1, NIS2, GDPR etc).

  • Analyse and enhance existing security systems to address evolving threats and vulnerabilities.

  • Effectively communicate complex security risks, strategies and solutions to both technical teams and non-technical executive management.

Skillset

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity or a related field.

  • Professional certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA) are highly preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or similar.

  • Strong knowledge of network and system security technologies, including firewalls, encryption, IDS/IPS and VPN solutions.

  • Ability to continuously analyse security systems, identify weaknesses and drive improvements.

  • Excellent communication skills to convey security risks and strategic plans clearly to diverse stakeholders, from technical teams to executives.

  • Vigilant in monitoring security systems for potential vulnerabilities and quick to respond to any security incidents or breaches.

  • Proven experience in managing security-related projects with a structured and methodical approach.

  • Deep understanding of legal and regulatory requirements regarding cybersecurity, including NIS1, NIS2, GDPR, and other relevant standards.
