Our client, a fast-growing AI company impacting the staffing industry, is hiring a hands-on Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the team in New York City. The successful candidate will play a key role in scaling the infrastructure powering the company’s AI-driven platform, while helping define technical strategy and remaining hands-on across backend systems, infrastructure and frontend development.

Responsibilities

Design and scale backend architecture for AI-powered products.
Drive technical delivery and influencing key architectural decisions.
Develop end-to-end AI applications in collaboration with product teams.
Enhance the reliability, observability and scalability of production environments.
Support and mentor engineers while contributing to engineering best practices and culture.
Work across the full stack when required, from infrastructure through to frontend development.

Skillset

At least 10 years of software engineering experience with strong full-stack expertise.
Previous experience in roles such as Senior Engineer, Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, Technical Lead or Engineering Lead.
Experience working in both high-growth early-stage startups (Series A or earlier) and later-stage scale-up environments (Series D+).
Proven hands-on technical leadership experience.
Strong background in building and scaling distributed, high-availability systems.
Comfortable contributing across backend, infrastructure, and frontend environments.
Solid production infrastructure experience, including Kubernetes, Docker, ECS, EKS, and EC2.
Strong technical skills across JavaScript/Node.js, Python, React, AWS and MySQL/PostgreSQL.
Experience building AI-powered or LLM-based products is an advantage.
