SWE – Senior Engineer (fullstack)

Our client, an Early-stage user data AI platform, are hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their team in New York. The successful candidate will help define both the organization’s technology and culture from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Own and ship end-to-end features across the full stack, from backend systems to frontend UX.

• Help define and evolve the architecture of core systems, with a focus on scalability and simplicity.

• Work closely with product to translate ambiguous ideas into clear technical direction and shipped experiences.

• Design and build user-facing systems that feel fast, intuitive and responsive.

• Contribute to shaping their engineering culture, standards and development practices.

• Identify and resolve system bottlenecks across infrastructure, data and application layers.

• Make pragmatic decisions on when to build, refactor or intentionally take on technical debt.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with design and product to refine UX as a system, not just a surface layer.

• Help mentor and raise the bar of the early engineering team as the company grows.

Skillset

• At least 7 years of software engineering experience, including setting technical direction and leading projects.

• Ability to maintain an exceptionally high bar for engineering quality, while still striving to be the best individual contributor on your team.

• Experience across the stack and ability to think holistically about code, infrastructure, data and user experience.

• Previous experience in an early-stage environment.

• Experience with AI/LLM workflows is a plus.  

Benefits

• Salary: $150k – $220k
