Our client, a growing AI SaaS organization, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the team in New York. The successful candidate will combine modern software engineering with artificial intelligence, working with emerging technologies and advanced AI frameworks to build and deliver scalable, production-ready solutions for the company’s Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and SMB clients.

Responsibilities

Partner with cross-functional teams to define, design, prototype and deliver new product features.
Design, build and maintain scalable frontend and backend applications.
Develop responsive, intuitive user experiences across multiple devices and platforms.
Build clean, maintainable abstractions and interfaces for an integration-focused technical product.
Improve application performance, reliability and scalability.
Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the application.
Participate in code reviews and help establish and maintain engineering best practices.
Keep up to date with emerging technologies, AI frameworks and modern software engineering practices.
Help shape the platform’s architecture, technical roadmap and long-term direction.

Skillset

At least 4 years of full-stack software engineering experience, with a strong track record of building and shipping production web applications.
Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript and server-side development.
Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs and working with asynchronous programming.
Strong understanding of software architecture, application performance, scalability and maintainability.
Experience with Git and modern development workflows, including CI/CD and deployment processes.
Hands-on experience with generative AI APIs, streaming outputs, embeddings and tool calling.
Experience working with cloud infrastructure and container orchestration technologies.
Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest or Cypress, along with strong software quality practices is a plus.
Working knowledge of PostgreSQL/SQL, including Row Level Security, with an understanding of server-side rendering and static site generation is an advantage.
