Our client, a growing HealthTech company, are hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their team In New York City. The successful candidate will develop the product experiences and shared infrastructure that power the platform, while also taking features from initial specification through to production and help shape the technical direction of a rapidly scaling healthcare product.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain reliable production applications across the full technology stack.
Create responsive, user-friendly product experiences using React and TypeScript.
Build scalable backend services with Node.js, TypeScript and Python.
Manage features throughout the complete development lifecycle, from specification to deployment and ongoing support.
Develop shared infrastructure that strengthens platform reliability and improves engineering productivity.
Work with complex clinical data and connect the platform with EMR systems.
Monitor system performance and optimize database queries, application efficiency and infrastructure costs.
Enhance the quality, structure and maintainability of the existing codebase.
Work closely with product, design and engineering teams to deliver effective solutions.
Contribute to engineering standards and best practices as the organization continues to grow.

Skillset

At least 5 years of experience building and deploying production web applications.
Strong TypeScript expertise across frontend and backend development.
Extensive hands-on experience developing modern applications with React.
Backend development experience using Node.js, TypeScript or Python.
A solid understanding of databases, query optimization and infrastructure costs.
Proven experience managing features across the full development lifecycle.
The ability to improve complex or established codebases without relying on unnecessary rewrites.
Strong product judgement, with the ability to balance delivery speed, quality and long-term maintainability.
Experience in healthcare, health technology or another regulated industry would be beneficial.
