Our client, a leading Business Consulting organization, is hiring an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join their team on a long-term contract in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will manage Microsoft systems, troubleshoot issues, handle updates, and ensure network security, backup and recovery. This role requires on-site presence (5 days per week).

Responsibilities

As the Senior Systems Engineer, you will oversee and maintain Microsoft computing environments, including Domain Administration, Active Directory and DNS.
Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, including NIC, cabling and TCP/IP configurations.
Support and troubleshoot email systems, as well as PC and server hardware issues.
Address and resolve technical issues through the Service Desk ticketing system.
Implement system updates, patches, upgrades, and hotfixes to enhance performance and security.
Handle backup and recovery processes to safeguard data integrity.

Skillset

At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft computing environments.
In-depth expertise in domain controllers, Active Directory, and network technologies.
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
Mandatory Certifications: Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert and Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
US Citizenship is required.
