Contract

Our client, a ServiceNow services organization, are hiring a ServiceNow Developer with expertise in IT Operations Management (ITOM) to join the team in New York on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing ServiceNow solutions with the aim to enhance IT operations across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and enhance ServiceNow ITOM solutions, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management and CMDB.

  • Implement and support automated workflows and integrations leveraging APIs, MID Servers and web services to streamline IT operations.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with infrastructure, cloud and application teams to ensure the accuracy, completeness and visibility of configuration item (CI) data.

  • Develop automation solutions using Orchestration and Flow Designer to improve efficiency and minimize manual processes.

  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues, optimising the performance, scalability and security of ITOM-related functionalities.

  • Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical specs, implementation roadmaps and user support materials.

  • Remain up to date with the latest ServiceNow features, enhancements and industry best practices to ensure continuous platform improvement.

Skillset

  • At least three years of hands-on experience developing solutions within the ServiceNow platform.

  • Deep expertise in ITOM modules, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB.

  • Proficient in scripting languages such as JavaScript and GlideScript, with solid experience using Flow Designer.

  • Skilled in configuring and troubleshooting MID Servers for seamless integrations.

  • Strong foundational knowledge of infrastructure components like servers, networks, and cloud technologies.

  • Well-versed in ITIL frameworks and CMDB best practices.

  • Capable of producing clear, concise technical documentation and implementation plans.

  • Certified in ServiceNow ITOM, Discovery, or CMDB (preferred).

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills across technical and non-technical teams.
