Our client, a global IT organization, are hiring a ServiceNow NowAssist Developer to join their team in Virginia on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and deploying intelligent AI agents that streamline workflows, improve user experience and increase operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement intelligent AI agents within ServiceNow Agent Studio to support business automation and workflow transformation.

  • Design, manage and continuously refine reusable prompt libraries, leveraging prompt engineering best practices to maximise performance and consistency.

  • Integrate large language models (LLMs) and AI capabilities into ServiceNow applications, workflows and business processes.

  • Create supporting tools, services and integrations that enhance agent functionality and enable advanced automation use cases.

  • Partner with business stakeholders, solution architects and technical teams to identify opportunities for AI-led innovation and operational improvement.

  • Deliver secure, scalable and maintainable solutions that adhere to enterprise architecture, governance and compliance standards.

  • Drive the continuous improvement of AI-powered workflows, ensuring optimal performance, reliability and business value.

Skillset

  • Demonstrable hands-on experience designing and building solutions using ServiceNow Agent Studio.

  • Proven track record of delivering AI-powered applications and automation initiatives within the ServiceNow platform.

  • Strong expertise in prompt engineering, including the creation, optimisation and management of reusable prompt libraries.

  • Experience working with large language models (LLMs) and modern AI frameworks.

  • In-depth understanding of AI agent design, orchestration and enterprise automation principles.

  • Experience integrating AI capabilities with enterprise platforms, systems and business applications.

  • Strong knowledge of workflow automation, process optimisation and orchestration technologies.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Understanding of AI integration patterns, governance frameworks, and enterprise deployment best practices is an advantage.  

  • Familiarity with enterprise security standards, compliance requirements and responsible AI principles is desirable.
