Our client, a growing AI and Data-driven organisation, are hiring a Head of Responsible AI to join their team in Dublin, Ireland. The successful candidate will lead the company’s global Responsible AI strategy, ensuring AI is developed and deployed securely, ethically, in compliance with regulations and with long-term business value.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and evolve the organisation’s enterprise Responsible AI function, defining the strategy, governance framework and operating model for trusted AI across the organisation.

  • Partner with executive leadership, including the CIO and General Counsel, to chair AI governance initiatives and drive responsible AI decision-making.

  • Establish and maintain enterprise-wide AI governance, including model inventories, audit capabilities and oversight processes.

  • Embed Responsible AI principles into engineering, LLMOps and DevSecOps practices to ensure AI systems are secure, scalable and compliant by design.

  • Lead AI security initiatives, including adversarial testing, red teaming and AI risk management, to strengthen resilience against emerging threats.

  • Ensure compliance with global AI regulations and standards, including the EU AI Act, ISO/IEC 42001 and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework.

  • Collaborate with major clients and internal stakeholders to demonstrate AI governance, security and trust, supporting business growth and client confidence.

  • Build, mentor and lead a high-performing Responsible AI team while building a culture of responsible AI adoption through enterprise-wide education and awareness.

  • Serve as a strategic leader with global influence, representing the company’s Responsible AI vision internally and externally.

Skillset

  • Masters or PhD Computer Science, Data Science, Law or similar.

  • Minimum of 10 years’ leadership experience in technology, artificial intelligence, cyber security, legal or risk.

  • At least 5 years of experience specialising in Responsible AI, AI governance, AI security, AI ethics or AI risk management.

  • A strong understanding of modern AI technologies, including Generative AI, large language models (LLMs) and enterprise AI platforms.

  • Proven experience designing and implementing governance frameworks within large, complex or highly regulated organisations.

  • In-depth knowledge of global AI regulations and standards, including the EU AI Act, ISO/IEC 42001 and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework.

  • Certifications in AI governance, security, ethics, or risk management would be an advantage.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
