Senior Front End Engineer
Our client, a leading Healthcare organization, are hiring a Senior Front Engineer to join the team in San Francisco or Cambridge, MA. The successful candidate will help build exceptional user experiences for a healthcare platform that enables patients to compare upfront pricing for virtual and in-person appointments, prescriptions and a wide range of healthcare services.
Responsibilities

Develop, maintain and scale a modern Next.js web application.

Own key customer-facing features, including search, appointment scheduling, provider profiles and patient checkout journeys.

Build responsive, accessible and intuitive user interfaces that deliver an exceptional patient experience.

Design and maintain reusable frontend components and contribute to frontend architecture decisions.

Optimise application performance, reliability, and usability across devices and browsers.

Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code following best practices.

Collaborate closely with product designers, backend engineers, operations teams, and clinical stakeholders to deliver high-quality features.

Contribute to technical discussions, solution design and continuous improvement initiatives.

Troubleshoot issues across the application and contribute to full-stack development when required.

Take ownership of features from concept through to deployment, ensuring a seamless user experience.
Skillset
-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience building production web applications using React.

Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern React development patterns.

Experience with Next.js or similar frameworks, including server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG).

Strong understanding of REST APIs and backend data models.

Experience building accessible, responsive, and high-performance web applications.

Experience with Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL is a plus.

Previous experience in healthcare technology or other regulated industries is a bonus.

Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on UI quality and user experience.
