Our client, an AI-powered SaaS organization, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in New York City. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing and maintaining the frontend and backend systems that support their AI platform, while delivering scalable, high-performance solutions and exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain scalable frontend and backend applications powering the company’s AI SaaS platform.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, prototype and deliver innovative product features.
Develop clean, maintainable code and scalable architectures for a complex, integration-focused platform.
Create responsive, intuitive user interfaces that deliver seamless experiences across multiple devices.
Improve application performance, reliability and scalability through continuous optimization.
Design and implement APIs, backend services and efficient data processing workflows.
Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure platform stability.
Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions and engineering best practices across the team.
Keep up to date with emerging software engineering trends, AI technologies and industry advancements.

Skillset

At least 5 years of experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer developing and scaling production-grade web applications.
Strong hands-on experience with React.js and TypeScript for building modern frontend applications.
Proven experience developing backend services, APIs and server-side applications.
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming and modern software architecture patterns.
Experience working with Generative AI technologies, including AI APIs, streaming outputs, embeddings and tool calling.
Solid experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices.
Proficiency with Git and contemporary software development workflows.
Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL/SQL, including data security concepts such as Row Level Security.
Strong problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product and business teams.
