Technical Business Analyst, Traditional IT Systems (Contract)

Our client, a global consulting firm, is hiring a Technical Business Analyst to join their team on a contract basis in Dublin. The successful candidate will work closely with business, technology and operational teams to understand requirements, improve processes and support the delivery of reliable, effective business systems.

Responsibilities

• Work with internal stakeholders to identify business requirements, operational challenges and opportunities for improvement.

• Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews and discovery sessions.

• Review existing systems, processes and ways of working.

• Define and document business, functional and technical requirements.

• Map current processes and design improved future-state workflows.

• Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps and solution requirements.

• Identify system gaps, risks, dependencies, data flows and integration requirements.

• Collaborate with technology, operations, project and testing teams throughout delivery.

• Support solution design, testing, implementation and user adoption.

• Maintain requirements traceability and ensure delivered solutions achieve the intended business outcomes.

Skillset

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst within an enterprise environment.

• Proven experience delivering change across traditional IT systems, including replacement, modernisation or integration projects.

• Excellent requirements-gathering, process-mapping and documentation skills.

• Ability to translate complex business needs into clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Experience working effectively with business, technology and operational stakeholders across multiple functions.

• Good understanding of system integrations, data flows, dependencies and enterprise platforms.

• Experience supporting solution design, testing, implementation and organisational change.

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, workflow systems and other enterprise technologies.

• Experience working in Agile, Waterfall or blended delivery environments.

• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
