Technical Business Analyst, Traditional IT Systems

Our client, a global consulting firm, is hiring a Technical Business Analyst to join its Dublin team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will work with business, technology and internal stakeholder teams to define requirements, enhance processes and support the delivery of reliable and effective business systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with internal stakeholders to identify business needs, challenges and opportunities for improvement.

• Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews and discovery sessions.

• Assess existing systems, processes and ways of working.

• Define and document clear business, functional and technical requirements.

• Map current processes and develop practical future-state workflows.

• Translate business needs into actionable requirements for technology and delivery teams.

• Create process maps, user stories, acceptance criteria and supporting documentation.

• Identify gaps, risks, dependencies, data flows and system integration requirements.

• Collaborate with technology, operations, project and testing teams across the delivery lifecycle.

• Support solution design, testing, implementation and adoption, ensuring outcomes remain aligned with the original business requirements.

Skillset

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst within enterprise IT environments.

• Proven experience delivering system change, modernisation, replacement or integration projects.

• Excellent requirements-gathering, process-mapping and documentation skills.

• Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, practical requirements.

• Strong understanding of system integrations, data flows and technical dependencies.

• Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria and supporting project documentation.

• Experience supporting testing, implementation, change and service improvement activities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders across multiple functions.

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, enterprise platforms and workflow systems.

• Experience working in Agile, Waterfall or blended delivery environments, supported by strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
