Software Engineer

Our client, an early-stage HealthTech startup, is hiring a Software Engineer to join their team in Manhattan, New York. The successful candidate will own the development of backend systems, work closely with users to understand their needs, and turn ambitious ideas into practical software for healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and scale backend systems for an AI-powered healthcare product.
• Collaborate with the CTO and wider team on technical and product decisions.
• Own features from initial concept through to production.
• Explore emerging AI capabilities and turn promising ideas into reliable features.
• Help shape engineering practices as the team grows.

Skillset

• Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field.
• At least 3 years of backend engineering experience, ideally developing a new product or scaling one through growth.
• Experience working in a startup environment.
• Confidence working independently and making technical decisions.
• Experience building your own product.
• Previous experience working in US healthcare or health tech is a plus.

Benefits

• Salary: $180k – $220k.
