ServiceNow AI Engineer

Our client, a leading telecommunications company, are hiring a ServiceNow AI Engineer to join their team in Colorado on a contract basis. The successful candidate will support the development of next-generation AI-enabled workflows and enterprise automation on the ServiceNow platform, focusing on scalable backend services, integration of modern AI capabilities and intelligent orchestration across enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance ServiceNow integrations, AI-driven workflows and automation systems.

• Build AI-powered automation solutions within the ServiceNow platform.

• Develop and maintain ServiceNow APIs, workflows and integration logic.

• Implement AI capabilities including embeddings, RAG pipelines, and knowledge retrieval systems.

• Develop knowledge graphs and embedding-based semantic search capabilities.

• Integrate ServiceNow with vector databases and knowledge graph technologies.

• Enable real-time data integration across distributed enterprise systems.

• Design and implement secure access models using OAuth 2.0 (scopes and claims).

• Work with REST and GraphQL APIs, including complex JSON transformations.

• Collaborate on ServiceNow architecture, system design, scalability and AI strategy.

Skillset

• Extensive experience with ServiceNow development and system integrations.

• Strong senior-level experience in Python development.

• Strong experience in API development, including REST and GraphQL.

• Experience designing and building AI-enabled systems, including LLMs, embeddings, and RAG pipelines.

• Strong knowledge of vector databases and semantic search architectures.

• Experience with knowledge graphs and graph-based data modelling.

• Experience with streaming data processing and message queue technologies (e.g. Kafka or similar).

• Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, including scopes, claims and secure access models.

• Experience with CI/CD automation using GitLab and Kubernetes-based deployments.

• Strong object-oriented design and system architecture capabilities.
