The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the lifecycle of diverse electrical systems, merging strategic foresight with scrupulous attention to detail throughout every stage from conception to implementation.


Responsibilities:

  • As the Avonics Systems Engineer, you will design, build, test, troubleshoot and upkeep electrical systems for both test equipment and spacecraft.

  • You will nurture close collaboration with fellow subsystem engineers to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with suppliers for electrical components and hardware.

  • Offer assistance for testing, day-of-launch operations and on-orbit activities.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics.

  • Over 2 years of hands-on experience in space systems engineering.

  • Expertise throughout the entire lifecycle of embedded systems, printed circuit boards, and electronics.

  • Hands-on capability in developing both off-the-shelf and custom electronics.

  • Proficiency in programming languages including C, C++, and Python.

  • Specialized skills in designing and implementing circuit boards utilizing FPGAs, serial, ethernet, SPI, CAN, DRAM, etc.

  • Familiarity with Altium Designer or SPICE-based simulators.

  • Experience with electrical testing equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.



Salary: $80k - $100k DOE
