The Role:

The Senior Director of Network Pricing Strategy will be responsible for developing pricing strategies which support optimal financial performance while keeping drug pricing aligned with broader market trends.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and centrally collating pricing strategies for each pricing area. They will partner cross-functionally to garner a deep understanding of all margin levers and lead a streamlined, agile team of business and data analysts to develop well thought out and sized pricing strategies from initial concept to business case through to how to operationalise.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leverage cross-functional connections and business knowledge to propose impactful pricing strategies that are well thought out with an understanding of how they can be operationalised
  • Supports sizing of network impact / opportunity of such strategies
  • Measures and reports out on strategy adoption rates and incremental benefits expected and realized
  • Create and maintain central repository of pricing bounds and pricing strategies for each network pricing area.
  • Collects market intelligence and develops strategies to mitigate impact of, or get ahead of new markets offerings
  • New pricing alternatives in response to regulatory pressures re: spread, effective rates, transparency etc.
  • Assess and evaluate risks to profitability, including quantifying impact and developing solutions for clients and the company.
  • Drug Level Pricing: setting guidelines and bounds to manage market dynamics while meeting pharmacy and client commitments
  • Enterprise-wide view of client pricing to align network and owned pharmacy economics.
  • Develop an enterprise-wide view of Specialty Pricing Strategy. Serve as the hub in the specialty ecosystem. Connect and bring together teams across the organization; clinical, underwriting, client contract management, network, specialty network ops, et al.
  • Develop strategies to maximize margin by evaluating network and owned-pharmacy economics, assess and address impact of specialty pipeline, maximize competitiveness of specialty COGS, and support operational rigor. Align approach and understanding from underwriting to implementation to execution.
  • Ensure appropriate feedback loop with underwriting and client management partners to ensure guidelines and strategies are handled appropriately in the sales process.
  • Support growth of capabilities in Ireland regarding pricing and analytics


  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in working with and analysing financial data to develop business insight and strategy
  • Proven ability to work well and collaboratively, with multiple teams or departments for business growth or profitability goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret complex information
  • The ability to work a portion of monthly work hours from our offices is required.
